It’s hard to decide what makeup to wear during summer to fall seasonal transition period.  Here’s a fun makeup tutorial featuring how to create a perfectly winged out turquoise cat eye with both a nude and bright lip option to complement it.

Step 1

I started with a light application lightweight tinted moisturizer to even out the complexion and then contoured my face with Stila Stay All Day Bronzer.

Step 2:

Using the limited edition Tart Cosmetic Rainforest of the Sea Eye Shadow Palette, I swept the entire eyelid with Pearl, a satin ivory shade.  I then contoured my crease with Conch, a warm peach colour.

Step 3:

To create the perfectly winged cat-eye, simply place a piece of Scotch tape or surgical tape diagonally along the outer corner of the eye.  Next, using a turquoise eye pencil or liquid liner, draw on and define the eye.  Finally, gently remove the tape and reveal a flawless line.

Step 4:

I curled and coated my natural lashes with black mascara then added my Nadittude Ciao Bella strip lashes to amplify them.

Step 5:

To frame the eyes, I always suggest filling in and shaping the eyebrows.  The NYX Micro Brow Pencil is one of my favourite products for this.

Step 6:

For a hint of colour on the cheeks, I used Tart Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Tipsy, followed by MAC Skin Illuminator in Soft and Gentle to highlight the cheek bones.

Complete looks

For a softer and more understated look, opt for a nude lip like the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Belissima (above).  For a pop of colour, try a shade of coral-red like Dior Addict Lip Plumping Lacquer in Dance Floor (below).
